Que Llueva
"Que llueva, que llueva, la virgen de la cueva". In Puerto Rico rain is like a gift from God for a tropical paradise. Like a heavenly gardener pouring water on his plants once a day the day begins is a delightful bath of sunlight that is interrupted when things begin to get too hot by a refreshing but short lived downpour, usually in early afternoon, that feeds the grown before the sunny day continues its journey. And the rain water is not cold like that of Canada and the US. Playing in the rain is not unusual for Puerto Rican children.

Arroz con Leche
This tune has grown in popularity to become a favorite children's song throughout
Latin-America. It is also the theme of a children's game in which a widow
is chosen to be at the center of the circle. The children hold hands and
circle around her as she chooses a husband. The widow trades places with
the husband and the game starts anew.

El Hijo del Conde
"El hijo del conde caramba, me escribio un papel!" At the time
of the writing of this song love and marriage were considered as a single
issue. And these were social issues that found their way into children's'
songs. Once again music is one of the most important elements that serves
as a tool to educate generations into the ways of the society that they
are expected to live in.
